Haul | Sniff My Tarts (2)

Apple Pie (4 x Crueller Doughnut)

This scent is amazing! Apple-y and cinnamon-y all at the same time!

Lavender Vanilla Coconut Milk (3 x Cookie Sandwich)

Least favourite scent of the bunch. The coconut milk scent is really sour and I can't get past it.

Peggy’s Blueberry Noel (4 x Grubby Cakes)
Thanks to an earlier RAOK from Julie, I already know and like this scent. Sweet, tart and fruity.

Cotton Candy Bliss / Strawberry Jam / Pina Colada
This is a sweet scent, the Pina Colada is nicely rounded out and made more interesting with the addition of the strawberry.

Lemon Sampler (6 pack scent shots)

Lemon Cake
Yum, more lemon than cake.

Lemon Colada
Funny enough, this doesn't remind me of pina colada but of a laundry lemon scent.

Lemon Cookies
Something's up with this, it smells a little stale

Lemon Ice Cream
I am half and half on this scent, I am deciding how much I like the vanilla ice cream note.

Lemon Sugar Pound Cake
Amidst the Lemon Sugar scent, there is a sour-milk note which is making me wrinkle my nose.

Lemon Sugar Type
This smells good, a sweet lemon scent, I suspect this is the base scent of the sampler.

Cream Cheese Frosting / Fruity Loops (8oz Chunks)
I just wanted more Fruit Loops in bigger quantities and this is pretty good.

Cream Cheese Frosting / Mandarin Orange (8oz Chunks)
The Cream Cheese Frosting scent is more prominent in this blend, sweet and tart, but made energising from the Mandarin Orange. Sweet and fruity.

Honeydew Melon / Red Mac Apple type / Lemon Curd (8oz Chunk Pie)

The Red Mac Apple scent is the strongest of the three, the Honeydew Melon adds to the sweetness while the Lemon Curd adds a twist of acid.

Peppermint / Spearmint / Pink Sugar (8oz Chunk Pie)

A tried and true crowd pleaser scent! The peppermint and spearmint are both strong but don't overpower the pink sugar.

Haul | Candles From The Keeping Room (1)

I am really happy to finally be able to place a Candles From The Keeping Room order. It took me several tries before this successful order! In fact, I feel that Rosegirls might be easier to get than CFTKR! I can see why they are so popular, the scent on cold sniff is fantastic, strong and true to the description!

Amazing Grace Type Italian bergamot and sparkling lemons are sweetened with freshly picked citron and neroli. A white floral jasmine, orange blossom and rose are blended with sheer musk and cedarwood.
This one is light on cold sniff. I don't smell the Amazing Grace scent for now.

Apple Grove A perfect combination of Cameo, Macintosh, Red Delicious, Fuji and Granny Smith apples.

Baby Grace Type A fresh accord combining feminine notes of mimosa flowers, poppy, pepper, white woods, fresh greenery and musk.
This smells exactly like the perfume. So beautiful!

Cherry Blossoms Fresh orange top notes sweeten this lush white floral bouquet. Forest ferns adds a natural sensation as light green tones balance the bouquet. Warm woods and a hint of musk warm the floral accord.
This is fairly light on cold throw. Hopefully it's better on warm.

Jade A blend of sweet jasmine, white lilies and violets; middle notes of lavender, rose combined with a delicate touch of sun ripened pineapple; bottom notes of fresh apple and fresh green melon.
Clean, green flora bouquet. It's sweet and fresh!

Lavender Mint
I love how herbal and just purely lavender this is. Fantastic!

Nectarine & Honey A sumptuous blend of nectarine, honey and delicate white florals. Fragrant rose and fresh air musks add to the calming serenity.
This is such a beautiful scent, the honey scent is very much stronger than the nectarine, but the fizziness of the nectarine sneaks in and makes itself known.

Sea Salt & Yuzu Notes of Satsuma orange, ruby red grapefruit, Japanese yuzu, Mediterranean sea salt, sun-kissed apricot, ripe nectarine, blue water lotus and aloe leaf.
I put this in my cart as I was going through the categories quickly while the site was open. I am so glad I bought it, it's a very elegant citrus, highlighted by that hint of salt. I can't wait to melt this.

Even though I watched all the youtube videos and read all the blog posts of CFTKR hauls, I was still a little taken aback at how many samples Carol provided. What she gave is comparable to some of the hauls I have made with other companies! I am also excited with what she picked out for me, these are scents that I definitely want to try!

Biolage Matrix Top notes of forest fresh green leaves and lemon zests, and well rounded with fruity notes of peaches, apples, and pineapples.
As a shampoo scent, I thought this would be very soapy but it's sweeter and fresher in real life. I love this!

Blissful Blackberry Type
I think this might be a BBW dupe. I am surprised that it's not more fruity and have a better blackberry scent note. Hopefully it will be better upon melting.

Champagne Pear Type Sparkling champagne with the fresh scent of a ripe juicy pear.
A very spritzy scent. I don't particularly distinguish both scents but like it's light, bubbly and energetic.

Clementine Lavender
This scent is right up my alley! The clementine is stronger than the lavender, juicy and citrusy but the lavender lingers after.

Green Figs Crisp Meyer lemons add a tangy twist to rich fig notes, while precious pomegranate seeds permeate the heart of this exotic citrus scent.
A pleasant, green type scent.

Green Tea Blend
This is a beautiful, fresh scent and I love it! I am also getting clean, citrus notes in there.

Lavender Cream Peppermint
Oh so good, sweet, relaxing and minty! I would totally buy a huge bag of this scent!

Mandarin Lime Fresh mandarin oranges to energise your spirit, and fresh lime to improve your mood.
I am kind of wondering if this might have been labelled wrongly, I don't really smell any Mandarin or any Lime in this scent.

Rain Forest Sugarcane An intriguing mixture that includes fresh lime, raw sugarcane and rare vanilla orchid, and a fabulous blend of Hawaiian hibiscus, pineapple, blood orange, palm grass, lemon mint and Kona sugarloaf.
Such a complicated blend on paper but it all comes together in a soft, sweet, fresh and green type scent. It's really good and if it melts as good as it smells now, I think I will get more of this!

Violets and Birch Green accord, fern, white birch, violet, clove bud, orchid, cedar leaf, musk and amber.
Violets are really overpowering scents to me but I think the Birch tones it down a little with its woodsy notes.

Wax Notes | October 2015

For most people, the end of the year is a time for winding down but it seems to be speeding up for me! Lots to do, lots to do!

I am finished with my last two haul posts for CFTKR and SMT and will be scheduling them up in the next couple of weeks. Once those are published, it will really be just these fortnightly or monthly wax notes. Sometimes I do get tired of doing these but it also gives me a sense of satisfaction to see how much I have melted. My web presence will definitely be diminishing but I will still be making my rounds around my favourite blogs and commenting! So, hope to see you all around!

Yellow Rose (K's Kreations)
This scent performed better than the previous K's wax I had been melting. It was more sweet rose than tangy lemon. Medium throw, medium scent impact.

Berry Verbena (Ten Digit Creations)
This scent is intriguing, I quite liked it because it's not your usual berry scent. There was a really citrusy-herbal scent note throughout it. Medium throw, medium high scent impact.

Drink Me (The Bathing Garden)
The vanilla scent is the strongest note I am smelling, with a dab of cherry blossoms underneath. Medium high throw, medium high scent impact.

Green Apple (Thirty Street Wax)
This smells exactly like a Green Apple slurpee from 7-11. Tart and refreshing! Medium high scent throw, medium high scent impact.

Starbursts (Beezy Tarts)
Wow, this scent is sickly sweet, so sweet it makes my teeth hurt smelling this. And it does smell exactly like the sweet! Medium high throw, medium high scent impact.

Dippity Daze (K's Kreations)
Not much scent.

Jelly Beans (Crabby Candle Co.)
I quite like this scent but only if it didn't had that artificial plastic note underlying it. High scent throw, medium high scent impact.

Lavender Cupcakes with Honey Frosting (Rosegirls)
It's been awhile since I had a really good piece of wax melt in my room, it almost feels like all my wax had decided to weaken in strength and I was really worried that I should have melted through them quicker. But I am so glad that's not the case, and this Rosegirls' chunk is still throwing well. It's really sweet, with the honey frosting scent being a lot stronger for me than Lavender and Cupcakes.

Wax Notes | September 2015

Lately I have been in a melting rut. It also scares me how much wax I have and no matter how much I melt, it doesn't seem to diminish in any way. Do you feel that way?

Cantaloupe & Fresh Oranges (Glitterati Candle Co.)
I always feel the need for some citrus and energy in the air, especially on the weekends! And this scent fits the bill, there is also that sweetness from the cantaloupe scent to balance out the sharper edges of a citrus scent. So nice! I am going to have to figure out how to order from Glitterati soon! High throw, medium high impact.

Cape Cod (Vintage Chic Scents)
I was in the mood for something aquatic so I threw this in the warmer. It's a beautiful, watery scent blunted slightly by a driftwood note. Sweet and girly too! Medium high throw, medium high impact.

Rosemary Mint (Tiffany Candles)
A wonderfully clearing, yet relaxing scent. It can be a bit bracing at times but there's also a sweetness about it and it didn't bother me too much. I am not surprised that this is one of TC's best-selling scents. Medium high throw, medium high impact.

Southern Tea (K's Kreations)
I don't find this very tea-ish because of a rather strong fruity note to it. And I keep smelling this hint of cookies. Sadly, I don't find this matches up with its scent description when melted. Medium scent throw, medium scent impact.

Spring Rain (K's Kreations)
Another disappointment, it doesn't match up with my initial cold sniff or scent description. I wonder if K's wax just doesn't do as well in a lower wattage warmer or its shelf life is not as long as other brands'. I will have to try it out in my tealight warmer to weed out the problem.

Shirley Temple (Vintage Chic Scents)
I am enjoying this scent, it's sweet but has a lime-y quality to it (the Fizzy pop scent). Fun, summer melt! Medium high scent throw, medium high scent impact.

Rose's Powder Room (Vintage Chic Scents)
It's a very cloying, powdery scent, I was hoping for a brighter scent from the bergamot and peach notes. On second melt, the scent became closer to what I thought it would be, I really enjoyed it then. Medium scent throw and medium scent impact.

Fruit Loops (Ten Digit Creations)
It seems to me there is a less of a cereal note in this scent than other vendors. But it's still a really pleasant, yummy scent. Medium scent throw, medium impact.

Smart Cookie (Vintage Chic Scents)
The chocolate scent is very strong and, unfortunately, not very pleasant. It smells like bad chocolate. The mint scent is very faint. I was hoping this would be a scent that I could get behind because it smelled so good on cold sniff. On second melt,  the scent improved! More mint, less bad chocolate. Medium high throw, medium high scent impact.

Afternoon Tea (K's Kreations)
It seems that K's tarts do better in a higher watt warmer, I have this melting on my tealight warmer and the scent is doing great. Just like sweet lemon tea but with a touch of bitterness. Medium-low throw, medium-low scent impact.

Marlin (Enchanted Candle Co.)
I really do love Enchanted's wax. This is such a beautiful and energising citrus blend! Medium high throw, medium high scent impact.

Apple Orchard (K's Kreations)
Really liking this scent. It's more tart than sweet though but I can almost see myself crunching myself into an apple with this scent. Medium throw, medium scent impact.

Wax Notes | August 2015

Hello everyone! How has everyone been this summer! I have been really busy with work and travel that's why I haven't been very much on the blog. But I did manage to schedule a couple of haul posts from Tiffany Candles and One Little Indian Scents, I hope you enjoyed that. I still have two more hauls to share from Sniff My Tarts and Candles From The Keeping Room. So look out for that!

Wildberry & Sweet Lemon Confection (Rosegirls)
I really wanted to like this blend more than I did. I think it was the Wildberry note that was turning me off. I would want to buy Sweet Lemon Confection in just the Mini-melters for the pure scent note. Medium scent throw, medium scent impact.

Happy Days (Vintage Chic Scents)
A clean, laundry scent. Laundry scents are really too strong for me, and with the addition of the clean cotton scent note, it's a double whammy. But if you like laundry scents, I would say you would love this scent. Medium-high scent throw, medium high scent impact.

Bartlett Pear (K's Kreations)
I am going to stand by my initial thoughts on this on cold-sniff when I said it smelt like apples. Essentially, it's a juicy fruity scent. Medium scent throw, medium low scent impact.

Peach Peppermint Schnapps (K's Kreations)
No throw and scent. Very disappointing. :(

Strawberry Mint Ice Cream (Rosegirls)
I mostly get a sweet strawberry scent, the mint is very slight and only wafts in and out. My colleague did comment that it was a little artificial smelling. Medium throw, medium scent impact.

Satsuma (Thirty Street Wax)
In the mood for an energetic scent (even thought it's at night) so I reached for this. It's great, exactly what I want for in a satsuma scent. Satsuma is sharper than orange and not as sugar sweet. Medium high throw, medium high scent impact.

Haul | Tiffany Candles (2)

I wasn't planning on a Tiffany Candles order but when I put in a request for a Sinus Relief scoopable and it got made and put on the list for a restock, I knew I had to order. I am very happy with the entire order, everything smells good and strong on cold sniff. TC is really becoming one of my go-to vendors for a wax fix!

Green Apple Macintosh
Wow, this is good. It's true to the scent of a Green Apple, just a little bit tart. It's also just that little more bit more fresh than juicy.

Sinus Relief Clear your head with this eucalyptus, spearmint and peppermint blend.
A family favourite, it works wonders with snuffed noses and congested chests. This is also my first scoopable and I am looking forward to trying out this new type of wax!

Stress Relief A beautifully balanced, calming blend of lavender, coriander, sage, touched with a hint of star anise.
Like its description, this is a beautiful calming blend. At the same time, it is also fresh and clean.

Honey Bunny Sparkling notes of bergamot, sweet orange and crisp apple; followed by rich, golden honey nectar, toffee bits, and soft white musk mingling together to create a sweet treat as natural as sunshine.
I suspect this is a dupe of Lush's Honey I Wash The Kids soap. So if you are looking for dupes, get this one!

Cactus & Sea Salt Shimmering green cactus mingled with clean ocean air, sea spray, driftwood and sea moss. A sea side blend of fresh ozone notes on a base of sweet musk.
An enduring favourite in my house. I should probably look into getting more.

Chamomile The soothing smile of the well known aromatic herb.
I am not sure what chamomile smells like on its own but this is pretty good!

Coriander & White Lime Blend of white lime, Italian bergamot, Valencia orange, fuzzy peach, mediterranean coriander, Thai basil, purple lavender, yellow jasmine and violet petals.
I am getting more herbal coriander and lavender than I am getting the citrus of lime, bergamot and orange. I hope it will be more distinct on melting because I think this could be a really good scent!

Eucalyptus Spearmint Invigorating herbal blend of eucalyptus and spearmint with fresh citrus lemon, lavender flowers, and a hint of sage.
Yum, I love this! I would love to get more. It's in the relaxing category of scents as Stress Relief.

Juniper Breeze A BBW duple, an ozony blend of floral, green and fruity notes with a slight musk undertone.
I have never tried this BBW scent but it's great! The ozone never overpowers the floral and the fruity but makes the blend more interesting.

Lemongrass Fresh cut lemongrass with a hint of green herbal notes
It's not fresh cut lemongrass but more like a fresh Lemongrass soap?

Mango Beachwood A BBW dupe, a blend of mango, tangerine and mandarin with mid notes of rose, jasmine and dewy cyclamen on a base of beechwood, amber and musk.
I think "Tropical" when I sniff this blend. I was excited to smell the wood notes but I can't really find any.

Sea Petals A light floral blend of roses and violets with a touch of light green notes, blended with some fruity notes of peach, citrus, and strawberry.
The florals are soft and aquatic in this blend, with the roses a touch stronger and softening the edges of the  violets. Very nice.

Snuggle Baby Baby Magic (Type)
I quite like this scent, it's not as powdery as I thought it might be. Just a tad herbal even. I would blend this with additional lavender or eucalyptus so amp it up.

White Nectarine & Pink Coral The luscious fruitiness of sweet peach, pineapple chunks and orange slices blended with enchanting floral notes of honeysuckle, rose and jasmine on a drydown of soft soothing musk.
This is a pretty scent. The fruity and musk notes included are more apparent than the floral notes.

Tiffany is ever so generous with her samples again and I feel like she picked them out with some care based on my order.

Lavender
On the herbal side and definitely something I would buy on its own.

Lemon
Clean and fresh lemon. I am thinking of blending this with the lavender to duplicate that famous scent of Yankee's.

Vanilla Pound Cake
This is delish! If I close my eyes and sniffed this, I might think I have a piece of cake right in front of me!

Order of the Odor | Volume 12

Hello! This is the 12th installment of the Order, which means we have reached our one year anniversary! We all hope your summer is winding down beautifully and many happy memories have been made. Please join us in answering the question of the month:

What were some of your favorite scent experiences this summer?

I am a little late to this month's Order because I have been away for a vacation and internet connection was not fully available for my laptop. By now, you would have read the rest of the other members' responses and I hope you have been enjoying them as much as I have! So, in Singapore, it's Summer all year round with our tropical heat and humidity. So one of my favourite scent experiences in this heat is catching whiffs of sultry, sweet, floral fragrances like the frangipani when they are in bloom. Or the tropical scent of fresh fruits at the market!

The Bathing Garden has some seriously ornate wax tarts and if anyone can do them justice, it is Sunnee. Hop on over to her blog to read all about her latest The Bathing Garden order and see which ones stand out. And oh happy day!!! The Bathing Garden is open and has been open for orders for several months now.

Liz at Furianne found a lost waxy treasure and melted it recently. Check out what gem she found that is STILL performing after over two years old!

Want the Bath & Body Works candle experience without the Bath & Body Works price tag? Deb hauled a few candles that fit the bill and will fill her home with fall cheer this year. You will want to read this!

Lolo gets to smell with the Rock is cooking... whenever she wants. And if you want to smell it too, as well as look at his cutie pie mug all over a candle... you must see what Lauren has recently acquired. Get ready for fits of "I NEED THAT!"

Candles From The Keeping Room recently moved over to Etsy, temporarily, and Julie placed an order on the first opening there. Read all about how the ordering process went and the abundance of scents she picked here. You can tell she went wild!

Michelle recently received and reviewed a Super Tarts sampler. Her precise descriptions and on point nose will leave you scouting for some of these scents. Find out what sampler she got and her thoughts on it.

Wax Notes | July 2015 (2)

A fairly quiet melting fortnight, I am working on melting up my first Vintage Chic Scents haul. I still can't get over how crazy it throws on an 11w warmer. It's going to be a quiet melting month in August because I am travelling with friends to Melbourne this coming week! It's going to be colddd there and I need to start packing!

Ice Palace Cookies (Vintage Chic Scents)
I was going through my stash and I noticed the VCS labels and cups were yellowing. Which got me worried about the wax itself. Well, I needn't have. The wax is throwing like a boss! I am melting in my office and this is throwing throughout the entire building! I am going to melting VCS in here for the foreseeable future!

Blueberry Noel Marshmallow (Sniff My Tarts)
Really yummy fruity scent. It's definitely more sweet-like than fruit-like. Throw is very poor on my 11w warmer though. I have to stand next to it to smell anything. Pity.

An Affair To Remember (Vintage Chic Scents)
I think this might be my first watermelon scent. It's sweet, girly and candy-sweet, and while I like this more than I thought I would, it's not my type of scent. The throw is ridiculously strong, throwing through the entire building as usual!

Backwoods Barbie (Vintage Chic Scents)
I really love this scent, the Satsuma note is so uplifting and energetic. I don't smell a straight Strawberry scent but I am sure it's sweetening and neutralising the acidic edge of Satsuma. High scent throw, medium scent impact.

Frozen Margarita (K's Kreations)
A pleasant, not-too-sour scent. Medium-low scent throw, medium scent impact.

Sugared Jasmine (Rosegirls)
I was getting ready myself for a soft sandalwood type Jasmine scent because that's how I noted in on cold sniff but on melting, it develops beyond the sandalwood to a clean, soapy Jasmine as well. Thankfully the scent impact is medium, which is totally cool with me because too strong of such a scent would be really hard to take! Scent throw is medium as well.

Haul | One Little Indian Scents (1)

One Little Indian Scents is a new vendor on the block that I have been watching them for this last little while. I missed most of the openings so far but I managed to catch the flash sales that took place at the end of May. I only won one lot but Alisha, the owner, was really sweet and tried to find more items for me from other lots that fell through to make the shipping more worthwhile. She only managed to find one other bag of brittle but she added an extra clamshell to make up for that and a delay in shipping out my package.

Tropical Sangria Huge chunks of pineapple and orange soaked in a classic wine sangria. Fruity and fun!
Oh this is so good. I am so glad that I have a bag of brittle in this! It does smell almost exactly like sangria, just a little less tart and more fruity. This is a great scent for summer, hopefully with a real Sangria in hand!

Glazed Pear Cider Brown sugared pears soaked in a traditional spicy apple cider.
This chunk is huge and such an interesting shape. It's duo-toned, brown and green. A warm, comforting pear scent. I don't find it particularly spicy from the cider. I like this one!

Juicy Fruit
Wow, this smells exactly like bubblegum. I just googled and found out there is a Juicy Fruit bubblegum so I am assuming this is meant to be a dupe of that scent.

Haul | Super Tarts (2)

I finally made my second Super Tarts order, I have been tempted many times during their regular clamshell restocks but I was always a few scents short of an order worth the shipping. When Brandy announced that she would be putting together a Lavender Sample, I knew I wouldn't be passing this one up. Several scents in this sampler have been getting lots of rave reviews and I am so happy to finally get to try it.

Data Lavender Cream, Pear Slices and Sugar Cookies
This is a surprising scent, I didn't think that a lavender scent can be classified as creamy and bakery, but there you are. There is hint of citrus contributed by the pear beneath the cream.

Donatello Lavender Cream and Honeydew Melon
Another surprising blend that somehow works. I find the Honeydew Melon note stronger than the Lavender, it's very juicy too!

Galactus Lavender, Raspberry Sorbet and Lovespell
This is a really sweet and unique blend. I can't quite describe it, not sure if I like this either.

Go To Sleep Lavender Cream and Pink Sugar
Great sleepytime scent! I am not surprised that this is such a popular scent.

Lavender Orange Dream Sweet Lavender mixed with our Orange Sherbet
Love this one! The Orange Sherbet is so sprightly and energetic. While stronger than the Lavender, I can still detect it.

Magneto Lavender, Strawberry Jam, Vanilla Buttercream
Unfortunately this has that stuffy-plasticky scent to it, I am guessing it's coming from the Strawberry scent. Which is surprising because ST's Strawberry scent is very popular.

Ravenclaw Blue Raspberry and Lavender
I can see why this is such a popular scent. The sweet Lavender smooths out the sharp acidity of the Blue Raspberry and they blend well together.

Sentinal Herbal Lavender, Blackberry Preserves, Marshmallow
Yummy, the Blackberry Preserves is the star here. I don't get much of the Herbal Lavender for now. I just can't get over how good the Blackberry scent is!

Spock Lavender Blueberry Cheesecake
One of my favourites of this sampler, like Sentinal, the Blueberry Cheesecake scent is the strongest and so good. Probably the best Blueberry scent I have ever sniffed. But unlike Sentinal, the Lavender emerges underneath and blends really well with the Blueberry Cheesecake.

Thanos Herbal Lavender Buds and Whipped Cream
Another favourite for its simplicity and deliciousness. This is the type of Lavender scent I would melt nightly to relax and fall asleep to.

Wax Notes | July 2015 (1)

I am getting back into the melting swing of things. With all my recent hauls, I am fairly obsessed with trying to melt the wax that I have had for at least a year. So a lot of repeat melts of I try to use wax that I cut up into smaller pieces.

Birthday Cake (SMT)
Simple and sweet-smelling. Medium throw and impact. My major beef with this tart is that it stained my warmer!

Nilla Strawberry Noel (Rosegirls)
The VBN is super strong in this scent, it's pretty much the main note I am smelling. A little disappointed that not more of a strawberry note is coming through. High throw, medium scent impact.

Squeaky Clean (Crabby Candle Co.)
This smells exactly like talcum powder, it's not unpleasant but not a scent I would buy again. High throw, medium high impact.

Twitterpated (Streetman Candle Co.)
This scent is really sweet, very much like candy! Medium scent throw, medium high scent impact.

Haul | Two Timing Tart (3)

Welcome to my Two Timing Tart samplers haul, this lot was bought and received a long time ago but I am just really slow at posting. At the moment, Two Timing Tart is closed while Becky the owner deals with some personal issues but it seems like an opening is on the horizon so keep a look out on their Facebook group! I feel like TTT gets the short end of the stick in the wax community, there is rarely any chatter about this company and if there is, rarely is it positive due to a rocky beginning. Personally I have always had a great experience with TTT's wax and their scent blends are some of the most interesting around and right up my alley!

Becky offered up several samplers for sale and since I was in the market for some TTT, I decided to take the plunge on three samplers - Fruit Loops, Lemon Curd and Vanilla Honey. I love both the basic Fruit Loops and Lemon Curd scents and I was interested to see what sort of combinations Becky could come up with. Because there are so many scents in these samples, I am going to be doing quick, first impression reviews of each scent!

Fruit Loops sampler

Sugar Cookie Fruit Loops
The Sweet Cookie scent is quite a lot stronger than Fruit Loops. It's a little sweeter than my preference.

Zucchini Bread Fruit Loops
Surprisingly this Zucchini Bread and Fruit Loops blend is quite equal, I can smell both. The Zucchini Bread is spicy and the Fruit Loops is a foil to that.

Clementine Cupcake Fruit Loops
Wow, I am really getting the buttery cake scent in here. It's actually quite nice with the Clementine tying everything together.

Pie Crust Fruit Loops
One of the blends with the strongest Fruit Loops scent,

Blueberry Fruit Loops
This is so so good! Like I can't stop sniffing. The blueberry scent is amazing, sweet, juicy and authentic!

Mandarin Plum Fruit Loops
This is a really good blend, I never would have thought of it. It's heavy kind of sweet and citrus. I can't differentiate between the Mandarin Plum and Fruit Loops.

Sweet Orange Fruit Loops
Really like this, sweet and simple.

Bite Me Fruit Loops
Another blend that I like. I am also weirdly detecting a ginger note in this. I like ginger so that's cool with me.

Key Lime Fruit Loops
Great blend, I think that the Lime melds really nicely with Fruit Loops

Raspberry Macaroon Fruit Loops
Yum, I love the Raspberry scent, it's super juicy and sweet!

Wildberry Scone Fruit Loops
Mm, very juicy wildberry scent coming through. This is a nice blend!

Lychee Coconut Fruit Loops
Another blend that I don't think anyone would have thought of. The sweet coconut blended really well with Fruit Loops. Even I can barely detect a straight FL even though I know it's there. That's how well blended it was.

Lemon Curd mini-sampler

Lemon Curd Cedar
This was one of the scents I was most interested to smell because of the interesting combination of citrus and woodsy. The Lemon Curd is very yummy but I barely get a hint of the Cedar. Hopefully it comes out more on melting.

Lemon Curd Black Cherry
Black Cherry > Lemon Curd.

Lemon Curd Fresh Herbs
My least favourite of this sampler, the Fresh Herbs completely overtook the Lemon Curd.

Lemon Curd Purple Sage Mint Leaf
This scent is the surprise of the sampler! So fresh, so acidic and not at all herb-y.

Lemon Curd Peppermint
I like this scent very much, again the Lemon Curd is the stronger scent of the two, with the peppermint being more of a soft whiff underneath. It reminds me slightly of a lemon cough drop as well.

Lemon Curd Lavender Martini
I have had TTT's Lavender Martini before but with the Lemon Curd, this scent is really amped up. It's a winner!

Vanilla Honey mini-sampler

Vanilla Honey Birch
This smells like really upscale potpurri, in a good way!

Vanilla Honey Myrrh
Another upscale potpurri scent. I think I prefer the Birch version but this is pretty good too.

Vanilla Honey Orange Blossom
I love Orange Blossoms so this scent is up my alley. The base Vanilla Honey scent sweetens it up.

Vanilla Honey Cinnamon
The cinnamon makes this scent sour. I am a little perplexed but I don't dislike it. It's interesting.

Vanilla Honey Gold Musk
This is made very perfume-y by the Gold Musk. I am not sure if I would wear such a scent though.

Vanilla Honey Sunflower
This is my second Sunflower scent, it's strong in this blend. It's also smells strangely soapy.
